With the comprehensive relaunch, the database will gain new functions that make the search for organic plant reproductive material even easier and more efficient.

Please note:
- Existing offers will be automatically migrated to the new system, submitted applications will remain in the application archive.
- Open, unprocessed applications will be lost. Please submit them in time – at least one week in advance.
- New applications can be submitted again from 19/01.
Your team at organicXseeds / organicXplants
This database is a requirement of EU Regulation (EC) No. 834/2007 and 889/2008 which regulates the use of seeds and seed potatoes in organic farming. The database is funded by Matvælastofnun, Icelandic Food and Veterinary Authority, working in partnership with FiBL.
You can use this website to search for available organic seeds, vegetative propagation material and seed potatoes. The website is designed to be used by organic farmers and growers to find organic seeds, certification bodies to help authorize derogations and seed companies looking to sell certified organic seeds. If you search the database and find the varieties you need are not available you must seek a derogation from your certification body before purchasing non-organic seeds.
We will do our best to keep the database as up-to-date as possible. Please help us to do so by notifying us of any errors regarding the availability of varieties at ingibjorg.jonsdottir@mast.is.
The database manager and administrators cannot be held liable for the seed used and varieties selected.
